Every office has the “guy” who loves to talk.

He wanders around throughout the day looking for someone to ask how his son’s baseball season is going. You try and avert your eyes when you see him coming your way, but eventually he wanders into your office and the next thing you know, 25 minutes of your life have disappeared.

It’s easy to forget that our responsibility at the office is to make meaningful progress towards our goals. This objective is often hijacked by an addiction to constant interruptions. Unless you love bringing your laptop home every night, something’s got to change.
